Nar Phu Valley trek starts from Jagat following the popular trekking routes of the Annapurna Circuit trail and then branches off from Koto to follow the off the beaten track to Nar Phu valley in the north of Manang and pass the Kang La pass with magnificent panorama of Annapurna ridges. The valley system above opens up to a huge expanse of high snow-peaks, ancient villages and high altitude grazing settlements. Day 1 : Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat (1300m)

Day 2 : Trek from Besishahar to Koto (2,610 m)

Day 3 : Trek from Koto to Meta (3560m)

Day 4 : Trek from Meta to Phu Village (4080m)

Day 5 : Rest and Phu village excursion day

Day 6 : Trek from Phu Village to Nar Phedi (3850m)

Day 7 : Trek from Nar Phedi to Nar village (4150m)

Day 8 : Rest and Nar Village excursion day

Day 9 : Trek from Nar village – Kang La (5320m) – Ngawal (3615m)

Day 10 : Trek from Ngawal to Manang (3550m)

Day 11 : Drive from Manang to Besishahar (850m)

Day 12 : Drive from Besishahar to Pokhara or Kathmandu

Hidden Gem Nar Phu Valley Trek is in the Valley of the Mustang Nar Khola. The Nar Phu Valley trek is a Himalayan desert. Nature and culture over there made this valley remarkable. Nar Phu Valley is in a restricted area. So a special permit is necessary.

On the way to Nar Phu Valley High peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, and narrow canyons lie. One can explore the lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, gompas, and unique ethnic cultures of Tibetan.

This valley features a mix of ancient Buddhist cultures and raw Himalayan nature. It lies between the most visited destination i.e. Annapurna and Manaslu regions.

Nar Phu is a true hidden gem of Nepal. It offers trekkers a rare opportunity to explore unspoiled valleys.

Similarly, Nar Phu Valley Trek starts from Besisahar. The trek quickly diverges from routes with more foot traffic and into the remote Nar & Phu valleys. As trek passes through the colorful Tibetan chaityas and prayer stones into deep canyons and gorges. Since 2002 AD trekkers are trekking on this route. The rugged landscape and the ancient village broadening to Tibet are completely different from the outside world.

Nar and Phu are villages with different features and characters. The trek is somehow challenging and completed within 12 days. Trekkers should trek 5-6 hours daily. During this trek Mt. Manaslu, Mt Annapurna, and Mt. Dhaulagiri are visible.

Best Season for Nar Phu Valley Trek

This trek is best for all the seasons. Besides that Spring Season (March-May) and Autumn(September-November). During this time the climatic condition and the environment are very suitable for trekking. In the winter season, the snowfall doesn’t allow you to trek. The management of hotels and accommodation is good besides being in rural areas.

The difficulty level of Trek

Nar Phu trek is a challenging trek. The accommodation over there is also found limited. Trekkers should be physically fit for this trek. Accommodation facilities are accessible in some specific places so trekkers have to trek following the itinerary.
